Download Newtracs, create your account, and set up your vehicle profile to get on the trails.
Welcome to Newtracs — the community-driven platform for 4WD explorers. This guide will help you get set up quickly so you can start navigating trails with confidence.
Create an Account
- Download Newtracs from the iOS App Store or Android Google Play.
- Tap Sign Up and enter your email address, a password (minimum 8 characters with at least 2 of: lowercase, uppercase, numbers, symbols), and a display name.
- Confirm your email address via the verification link sent to your inbox.
- Log in with your new credentials.
Tip: Using the same account on multiple devices keeps your trips, pins, and settings synced across all of them.
Set Up Your Vehicle Profile
Your vehicle profile is required before Newtracs can assess track difficulty for your specific setup.
- Tap Profile
- Tap Vehicle Profile
- Tap Add Vehicle
- Enter your vehicle details including drivetrain, tyres, and suspension, then tap Save.
Can't find your vehicle in the list? You can enter it manually. A motorbike toggle is also available for motorcycle riders.
Important: Enter accurate vehicle information. Incorrect details may result in misleading track recommendations.
Vehicle Rating System
Once your vehicle profile is complete, Newtracs compares your vehicle's capabilities (drivetrain, suspension, tyres) against trail difficulty, terrain, and conditions to help you find compatible tracks.
- Higher-rated tracks may require vehicle modifications or recovery equipment
- If you're unsure about your vehicle's capability, start with lower-rated tracks
