Balfour Track

The Balfour Track will test your 4WD skills in ways few other Tasmanian trails can match. This extreme 14.1 km route near the West Coast rewards experienced drivers with raw, unforgiving terrain that demands absolute vehicle control and unwavering concentration. You'll navigate a landscape where river crossings become your primary obstacle, requiring careful line selection and precise throttle management to avoid getting bogged or swept downstream.

What you'll experience is genuine outback driving—technical sections that separate competent operators from true off-road enthusiasts.
