The Carson River Track rewards adventurous 4WD drivers with a unique blend of remote outback driving and water crossings near Durack, Western Australia. Over nearly 97 kilometres, you'll experience the thrill of navigating multiple river crossings that demand respect and proper vehicle preparation, making this medium-difficulty trail perfect for drivers with some off-road experience. The flat terrain means you won't face steep grades, allowing you to focus on line selection and water depth assessment rather than extreme climbing or descending.

You'll traverse diverse landscape as you progress through this 4-hour journey, encountering both established tracks and more challenging sections where the Carson River demands your attention. The scenery shifts between open outback country and riparian zones, with river crossings serving as natural focal points that break up the drive and test your vehicle's water-fording capabilities.
